Frequently asked questions

Who signs it? Everyone you invite. When someone opens your invite link they enter their details and sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before a single word of your vault is shown to them. There is no way to look first and sign later.

Is a typed signature valid? Yes. Signing electronically is legally recognised in the United States and most other countries. We record the signer's name, their signature, the date and time, their IP address and their browser, so there is a clear record of who agreed to what.

How long does it last? The confidentiality duty continues after someone leaves your vault. Trade secrets stay protected for as long as they remain secret. You can read the full wording on the Mutual NDA page.

Can I remove someone? Yes. You can revoke access at any time from the Collaborators tab. The NDA they signed still binds them to everything they saw.

Who owns what I put in? You do, completely. Your writing, plans, mind maps, wireframes and financials remain yours. We never claim a licence to use, sell or train on your ideas.

Can anyone browse my vault? No. Vaults are private by default. Only you and the people you personally invite and who have signed the NDA can open one.

Is a vault the same as a patent or trademark? No. IdeaVault gives you a confidential, dated record of your work and a signed agreement from everyone who saw it — powerful evidence if a dispute ever arises. Formal registrations are separate, and a qualified attorney should handle those.

What does the built-in agent see? The agent helps you build out your plan using the content of the vault you have open. It is not used to train outside models, and other members never see your vault through it.

If I close my account? You can export or delete your vaults. Deleting a vault removes its plan data, mind maps, wireframes and collaborator list permanently.

What do I pay for? A membership unlocks unlimited vaults, NDA-protected invitations for collaborators, the mind map and wireframe workspaces, the full business plan sections and the AI agent.

What are the plans? Pro is $29 per month or $290 per year for a solo founder. Team is $79 per month or $790 per year for founders working with a group. Yearly works out to two months free. Full details are on the pricing page.

Can I switch plans? Yes, at any time. Changes take effect immediately and we only charge or credit the difference for the days remaining in your billing period.

What happens if I cancel? You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for. Nothing is deleted when access ends, and resubscribing brings everything back exactly as you left it.

Do collaborators need to pay? No. People you invite sign the NDA and view your vault at no cost. Only founders who create vaults need a membership.

How do I manage payment details? From the Billing page inside your account, where you can update your card, view invoices or cancel.
